I’ve known Audra, the force behind Loved to Death and Oddities SF, since 2011 curating shows at Articulated Gallery — once housed inside her Haight Street shop. In 2024, I helped her refresh her Shopify site to better reflect her brand: elegant, eerie, and unmistakably her.
The goal was to make the site feel more professional without losing its soul, a true digital home for her curated curiosities. We refined the layout, cleaned up the navigation, and updated the aesthetic to better match the in-store experience.
It’s was also important to ensure the shop was a pleasure to visit on mobile. The front page features new items with a rotating selection of carefully curated collections below.
I also built out custom email templates within Shopify to help her stay connected with her audience in a way that felt true to the brand.
Loved to Death has a strong history, both from the physical store in San Francisco and the tv show. This was called out with special blocks on the homepage. It allowed customers to connect with the brand beyond what products are offered, but let’s not overlook those, its amazing hand-made jewelry.
