T-Shirt Design | 2013

In 2013, I got an unexpected but very welcome email from Cracked.com — the digital evolution of the classic Cracked Magazine I grew up reading alongside MAD. They were building out a merch line and wanted shirt designs that matched their voice: clever, irreverent, and pop-culture fluent.

I offered a few existing designs from my collection, and also created new ones based on their prompts; a mix of mashups, weird history, and jokes that reward a second look. The challenge was hitting that sweet spot, funny enough for internet culture, but designed well enough to actually wear.

It was a surreal full-circle moment, from reading Cracked as a kid to seeing my name on their merch lineup.
