Website & Content Creation | 2023–Present

Batteryop.com launched in May 2023 as a resource hub for electronic musicians — especially those drawn to the world of battery-powered and portable synthesizers. What started as a personal rediscovery of music-making quickly grew into a site filled with reviews, tutorials, and gear guides for anyone working in tight spaces or on the move.
I built the site from the ground up — designing the layout, writing the content, and developing a tone that’s friendly, helpful, and no-nonsense. It’s not about hype. It’s about making music more accessible, more fun, and more portable.
Logo

The Batteryop logo was designed to be clean, iconic, and layered with meaning. At first glance, it’s bold typography — but within the shapes, there’s more going on.
The “O” features a positive terminal cutout, nodding to AA batteries — the heartbeat of the portable synth world. That same shape also reads as a vinyl record or tape reel, connecting the brand to the retro-meets-modern spirit of electronic music. The “P” carries a hidden musical note in its stem, suggesting play, rhythm, and creativity. Together, the two characters form a subtle pair of AA batteries side by side — powering the whole concept.
The black-and-white palette keeps things timeless and utility-focused. It reflects the gear itself: practical, stripped-down, often monochrome — built to work, not just look pretty. It also ensures the logo prints cleanly on everything from synth cases to stickers, and stands out no matter where it lands.
Like the instruments it champions, the logo is minimal, mobile, and made to perform.
Logo (Secondary)
The backup logo takes the battery idea and sneaks in another music reference. The charge bars double as piano keys, a little visual pun that ties power and play together. It’s the lighter, more portable version of the main mark, ready for spots where you don’t need the full wordmark but still want the same spark.
It also looks great as stickers and embroidered on shirts or hats.

Website
The site runs on WordPress and keeps things simple on purpose. No ads, no clutter, just fast loading pages and a clean spot to dig into battery-powered gear. The idea was to make it feel like a little getaway online, where you can read about creative machines without all the noise.
